2018.gada rudenī tika uzsākts jauns Erasmus+ skolu stratēģisko partnerību projekts, kura saturs fokusēts uz STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) mācību priekšmetu efektīvu mācību materiālu izstrādi un izmantošanu mācību procesā, lai ieinteresētu skolēnus apgūt Matemātiku, Fiziku, Dabaszinības, Tehnoloģijas, Pētniecību un rosinot dzimumu līdztiesību un aktīvu iesaistīšanos šajās nozarēs. Projekta mērķis ir starptautiskā sadarbībā izveidot mācību materiālus un īstenot vasaras radošās darbnīcas skolēniem un skolotājiem par tēmu “Vienkāršie mehānismi”.

STEMachines Project – STEMaP – financed within the Erasmus+ programme (Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships in the field of education, training and youth) focuses on STEM subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. In particular, the Project aims at increasing the interest in scientific subjects and promoting gender equality in the study of these disciplines. In order to make STEM education more effective, STEMaP exploits SIMPLE MACHINES, as those elementary mechanisms composing all the machines, such as, for example, the lever, the wheel, the axle, the pulley, the inclined plane, the wedge and the screw.
Intellectual Outputs:
1. STEM Need Analysis teachers and students
2. Elaboration of a teacher training material
3. Simple Machines Games Online Educational Resource.
Learning/teaching/training activities abroad:
• Pilot testing of developed training material: Training activities with in-service teachers.
• Summer camps with students: teachers who are trained during “Teachers training units” can accompany
students during summer camps and implement what learned during their training. Students will develop
simple machines, develop peer-learning and share results on ‘Elios’ platform.
